Each rib eye is sourced from our grass-fed herds, raised on the lush green pastures of Ireland, where the land and the seasons do the work nature intended. The result is beef with genuine character - a cut that’s as satisfying roasted whole for a crowd as it is portioned into thick, restaurant quality steaks.

Cooking Guide (Pan Fry)

Carefully follow these instructions to cook your ribeye steaks.

  1. If you have chosen to leave your Full Ribeye 'unsliced' from idevour then it's a good idea to slice your steaks on delivery day.
  2. The freshly sliced steaks can now be bagged and refrigerated or frozen.

The prep...

  1. Remove your steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking, to make sure they’re at room temperature
  2. Pat dry with kitchen paper
  3. Coat plentifully with course sea salt
  4. Add a small dollop of idevour tallow pan

Then to cook...

  1. Use a griddle or heavy based frying pan large enough to hold the meat and preheat on high, until the pan sizzles when you add a drop of oil.
  2. Now add a small piece of idevour tallow and allow it to melt.
  3. Set your steak into the pan for 2 minutes on each side (4 minutes in total).
  4. Reduce the temperature to a medium heat.
  5. Add some butter on top and cook for a further 3 minutes, flipping your meat half way.
  6. Rest your steak for 5 minutes before serving and the meat will relax and absorb the juices to give you a tender, juicy steak.

This is only a rough guide. In real life we would use an instant read thermometer and cook until the internal temperature is 53-55℃, before the rest period, for a medium rare finish.

    Super tender and juicy

    This was a treat for me, I usually buy the full sirloin joint but wanted to try the ribeye.

    Just awesome

    This was the centrepiece of our Christmas dinner. Cooked low at 95 C for about 5 hours until 54C internal then given a hot blast for 15 mins at 230 C. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, not a bit of grey meat in sight. You could cut the meat with a spoon it was so tender, and an amazing falvour, Everyone at the table raved about it, and the Boxing day sandwiches were a treat too.
